Salt Lake Practical Shooting Association (SLPSA) is Utah’s oldest practical shooting club and is affiliated with the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA), Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA), Rimfire Challenge, and United Multigun League (UML). SLPSA holds regular pistol, Steel Challenge, Rimfire Challenge, and UML matches at the Big Salty Action Shooting Range, located just north of the Lee Kay Public Shooting Range in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Rimfire Challenge matches are held on the 1st Sunday, USPSA matches are held on the 2nd and 3rd Saturday of the month, rain or shine. UML matches are held on the 4th Saturday, and SCSA matches the next day on Sunday.
We usually run six stages including a USPSA Classifier and the total match requires about 120 rounds. We design our stages to be Production gun friendly for our USPSA matches. UML matches are usually four to six stages and include two gun, three gun, 2X4 and PCC-only divisions. Steel Challenge matches are four of the eight SCSA stages alternating monthly, so you can shoot all eight stages of the world’s speed shooting game every two months.

Directions from Salt Lake City:
Head west on 2100 South (Route 201)
North on 5600 West, to the 1st light at 1730 South
Turn Left (West) and follow the frontage road around to the South
The range entrance will be the first right after the curve South.
Go through the gate, turn right
Then left and follow the road to the parking lot.
SLPSA is at the northwest corner of the parking area by the two sheds.
